The Office of Federal Financial Management issued a policy directive requiring all federal agencies to post grant opportunities on the Grants.gov Web site by November 7, 2003. This grant information is now available and visitors can search for grant opportunities by keyword, date, funding agency, funding activity, funding type, and CFDA number. In addition to providing search capabilities, Grants.gov also allows users to apply for funding from 9 of 26 grant-making agencies and request grant opportunity notifications. Grants.gov is one of 24 federal cross-agency E-Government initiatives focusing on improving access to government services via the Internet.
