EL SEGUNDO, CA - November 6, 2007
– NC4, Inc., a leader in situational awareness, incident
monitoring, crisis management, and secure collaboration,
today announced E Team Connect – an easy to use, affordable
incident management system for small agencies that want
control over their own system. E Team Connect supports the
management of localized, all-hazard emergency events and
incidents, and empowers agencies to share information with
other agencies in surrounding jurisdictions during an
area-wide crisis. Delivered through the Application Service
Provider (ASP) model, E Team Connect is ideal for agencies
that have little to no internal IT support. The NC4 solution
provides sophisticated incident management functionality,
allowing users to share a common operational picture in the
form of standardized summaries, reports, requests,
notifications, directives, annotated maps, and a resource
tracking utility.
“Emergency management is a priority for Russell County,
though we don’t have unlimited funding to support the
effort,” said Chance D. Corbett, director, Russell County
Office of Homeland Security/Emergency Management. “NC4’s E
Team Connect provides the robust functionality to prepare
for all emergencies and manage through them, while allowing
Russell County to live within its budget.”
The E Team emergency management application enables
organizations to respond quickly to any crisis situation and
deliver coordinated responses based on real-time and
historical information. It provides emergency response
organizations with a tool to help people make the right
decisions at the right time based on the right information.
E Team delivers significant collaboration and
interoperability benefits to Federal, state, and local
government agencies, interagency task forces, as well as
other organizations that must manage and respond to
emergency incidents of every type.
Built by experienced emergency management professionals for
emergency managers, E Team Connect is structured to fully
support operations along the organizational functions and
roles defined by the government standard National Incident
Management System (NIMS). E Team Connect meets the basic
operational requirements needed for command, operations,
planning, and logistics organizational units – allowing a
small jurisdiction to conduct operations with a standard
configuration while enabling data sharing with surrounding
jurisdictions and/or any other E Team-supported agency. E
Team Connect includes the following modules: emergency event
reporting, incident reporting, resource requests utility,
infrastructure status reporting on hospitals and shelters,
agency situation reporting, and duty logs. In addition, E
Team Connect includes the core functionality of E Team
Enterprise, such as data sharing for regional solutions,
configurable organization charts, position-based menus,
dynamic Geographical Information System (GIS) mapping, and
alerting.
“Small municipalities and counties, such as Lee County in
Alabama, need reasonably priced incident management system
capabilities that equip us to handle varied types of
emergencies,” said Della Matthews, interim director, Lee
County Emergency Management Agency. “With E Team Connect’s
affordable and comprehensive capabilities, we feel prepared
to track incidents efficiently and manage resources
effectively.”
Configuration and Pricing
NC4 delivers E Team Connect in either an ASP-only
configuration or ASP Primary with a local self-host back-up
option for six users with surge capacity up to 12 users. The
ASP-only configuration has an affordable yearly operational
cost of $4,900, which covers the annual subscription. There
is an additional first year set-up fee of $5,000.
Organizations also have the option to purchase ASP Primary
with the local self-host back-up option that functions even
when the Internet is not available. NC4 manages this
appliance remotely, minimizing the need for IT support.
Pricing for this option is $10,400 for the hardware and
software, plus a $3,000 yearly support fee.
“No organization should compromise emergency management due
to budget or IT challenges,” said Jim Montagnino, president,
NC4. “E Team Connect enables organizations of all sizes to
respond quickly and appropriately to any crisis. It equips
all organizations with the ability to conduct NIMS-compliant
emergency management procedures including the ability to
share critical information with other E Team-connected
jurisdictions.”

NC4 will demonstrate E Team Connect November 12-14 in Reno,
Nev. at the International Association of Emergency Managers
(IAEM) 55th Annual Conference & Emergency Management and
