NC4 Agrees to Acquire E Team to Address Customer Situational Readiness Needs Incident Management supports the response section of NC4 Situational Readiness EL SEGUNDO, CA August 30, 2005 NC4, the leader in Situational Readiness, today announced that it has agreed to acquire E Team Inc, the leader in incident management and response. NC4 to date has provided a service focused on situational awareness through its NC4 Incident Monitoring Centers. This situational awareness, part of a broader program labeled Situational Readiness, links together the prevention, protection, response and recovery stages of the readiness life cycle. The acquisition of E Team now allows NC4 to better support the response segment of Situational Readiness. Additionally, NC4 announced the formation of a Public Sector unit that will be headed by Vice President, John Tullie, CEO of E Team. In concert, NC4 has announced the promotion of Jim Montagnino, formerly NC4’s General Manager, to the position of President. “Jim has led NC4 through the startup stages of NC4 and now he takes the helm during the next stage of NC4 growth,” said Aubrey Chernick, NC4’s Chairman. NC4 and the Public Sector “E Team has a tremendous reputation in the public sector,” according to Jim Montagnino, NC4’s President, “including managing major emergencies and prominent events such as New York City’s response to 9/11; hurricanes Charley, Frances and Ivan; the tsunami disaster; 2003 Northeast Blackout; Arizona and California wildfires; Salt Lake City and Athens Olympics; three Super Bowls; 2004 Democratic and Republican National Conventions; 2004 G8 Summit; and 2005 Presidential Inauguration. This capability will allow NC4 to serve its public sector customers with a more effective Situational Readiness offering.” “Integrating NC4’s real-time, proactive incident monitoring and alerting capabilities with E Team’s incident management system gives, particularly our government customers, early, actionable information and powerful response and management tools,” noted Tullie. “The new NC4 team will continue to drive the innovations that E Team customers have relied on for everything from hurricanes to Super Bowls. I look forward to driving this new public sector organization for NC4 and delivering this combined solution to our expanding customers and prospects.” “E Team’s incident management, reporting and sharing capabilities complement NC4 perfectly,” said Dr. Richard Andrews, NC4's Director of Homeland Security. “I only wish I had this combination when I was in the public sector. It would have helped me reduce incident impact, cost and time to recovery while maximizing resources.” To learn more about NC4, visit www.nc4.us About E Team Designed for government agencies, nonprofit organizations and companies in healthcare, energy and other critical infrastructure sectors, E Team provides response and incident management solutions both as a service as well as software.
